Higher Visions for Education

Snack Calendar

Snack Suggestions

The snack break is an important part of Higher Visions. Sharing food provides time to socialize and connect with peers. We ask that students volunteer to bring a healthy snack to share with their classmates. Each student should sign up to contribute snack approximately every other quarter.

We encourage healthy snacks and try to limit our sugar and carbohydrates. Plan to bring enough for 15 people – single servings. We always have water available and provide plates and napkins.

You can view the Snack Calendar above and email Carolyn the date you would like to sign up to bring the snack for the class.

Students may bring their own personal (not shared) snack from home, especially if they have a special dietary concern; remember the food must be a single serving of a snack.

Some Ideas:

Fruit (apples, grapes, berries, melon)
Vegetables (carrots, celery, tomatoes)
Crackers or rice cakes
Pretzels
Cheese sticks or cubes
Granola or cereal bars
Yogurt packs
Popcorn
Applesauce
Hummus dip
Peanut or other nut butter
